Aquatic Weed and Algae Control

Aquatic Aesthetics
How can I maintain my pond year round?

Nuisance aquatic vegetation and algae infestations can ruin the aesthetic appeal, reduce value, and eliminate recreational activities on your property. Invasive algae and aquatic weeds are not only unsightly, but can sometimes be a danger to aquatic life and humans, depending on the species. POND PRO will come to your property and perform a complete aquatic vegetation assessment before providing you with a list of control solutions.

The first step to properly restoring balance in your aquatic system is proper identification of aquatic pests causing the issues. Our Aquatic plant specialists are trained in proper identification of nuisance aquatic weeds and algae. Once identified, our team will provide you with recommended control options including: aquatic herbicide, pond dye applications, stocking grass carp and tilapia as biological control, and using aeration and beneficial bacteria.

We offer clients with severe weed infestations Proactive/Preventative aquatic vegetation control with Annual Vegetation Management plans and perform monthly or quarterly aquatic maintenance services to restore beauty to your waters.

Pond Pro is licensed, insured, and bonded and our staff are certified in the commercial application of EPA approved aquatic herbicides.

BJR Project

This 2-acre residential pond had reoccurring weed infestations and fish kills resulting from years of excess nutrient accumulation from surrounding agriculture practices. Initially, we controlled the existing weed outbreak with EPA approved aquatic herbicides. We followed by installing a custom aeration system and applied beneficial pond bacteria to reduce the excess nutrients causing the cyclical weed infestations. Our client has enjoyed a clean and healthy pond for over two years.

VL Project

This 5-acre lake has been the centerpiece of the neighborhood for decades. Over time, a dense muck layer had developed causing severe weed outbreaks. After an initial cleanup and four years on our annual vegetation management plan, this lake remains the focal point of this community.
